The food was really good as always, the portions are big enough to fill you up.

Pleasant location, clean and tidy. Staff is nice and incoming. You are not without drinks for a long time. The prices are super cheap. to chill is really good here.

We had to wait a relatively long time for our drinks, although not much was going on. Ambience is ok.

With the oldest pub in Hildesheim. For many decades, this quaint, cozy pub has kept in Hildesheim and that as a family business !!! Shows good quality! Delicious food and relaxed atmosphere. Also one of the last pubs with a pool table. It's worth looking up !!!!

We were there as a group of men. Delicious beer, play billiards and have a bite to eat. Well.

Never again!!! This shop doesn't work at all! Miserable, silent food (there is no attempt to convert German discounter products into Spanish tapas, the "meat skewer" dry and chewy), which we also had to wait almost 2 hours for. The crowning glory was an extremely unfriendly and completely overwhelmed waitress as well as the owner of the restaurant, who immediately got cheeky when asked! An absolute no-go in gastronomy! If you want to spend a nice pub evening, you should definitely go somewhere else.

The "Spaniard" - a little out of the way from Hildesheim's pub and café mile - is a nice, very rustic restaurant with dark wood, which is popular with students and residents of the neighborhood in East Hildesheim. In addition to a solid range of beers, there are a few long drinks, cocktails and wines, schnapps ... and, in addition, food from the Mediterranean and Latin American cuisine, the quality of which is considerably higher than you would expect from a pub-like establishment like the "Spaniard". However: Nomen est omen, the Spaniard is rightly named and the chili con carne is simply delicious. Then why not five stars? - This is because I stood with some friends in the cold and rain at 6:30 p.m. in front of the front door and was not let in for half an hour with the comment that the opening time was only at seven. It is perfectly acceptable that food and drinks are only available from 7 a.m., but not that guests are left to freeze outside in the rain.
